Update on One Simple Thing to Reduce Anxiety

A few weeks ago I wrote a post about how the one thing you could do to easily reduce your stress is to stop watching or reading the daily news. You’re far better off reading analyses of the news or weekly newsmagazines because you’ll get context, not just jump scares.
At that time I was trying out a newsletter called the News Minimalist, which attempted to use AI to sort through headlines to deliver only meaningful news. Nice try folks, but fail. The constant barrage of climate disasters all over the world revealed your biases, but it wasn’t actionable or meaningful for me if there are wildfires on the other side of the planet.
Since then I’ve cancelled that newsletter but stumbled across another one that I quite enjoy, ‘Morning Brew’. It’s incredibly popular and so good at delivering a daily dose of relevant and entertaining news that even my wife thanked me for the recommendation. She likes all the Taylor Swift mentions.
